This window ledge is my first foam free wedding installation. It formed the focal area in a rustic barn during the wedding ceremony.
I used chicken wire instead of foam to keep the materials in place. This method has advantages beyond the environmental benefits.
Firstly, compared to having rather heavy blocks of foam soaked with water, the mechanics were lighter to manoeuvre around and position high up. It also enabled me to extend the design much further, cascading it down the wall, I could have kept carrying it on if I had wanted to!
I am happy with the end result, and now longing for more opportunities to put this environmentally friendly way of working into practice!
