Ideas to reuse your flowers throughout your wedding day, helping your budget to go further.
I have written this blog in the hope that you will find it useful when planning your own wedding flowers. Perhaps it will spark a few new ideas that you may not otherwise have thought of.
It is financially tough for all of us right now. Understandably, many couples are thinking about clever ways to repurpose their wedding flower décor. This enables you to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere that flowers can bring to a wedding, for much longer, all without spending any more than you need to!
There are many ways to repurpose your flowers. During 2022, couples came up with more ways to do this than ever before. For example, registrar flowers that later become the top table flowers, is a very popular idea. Repurposing opportunities are not always obvious, especially when it comes to your statement pieces. Sometimes they are also repurposed to behind the top table, maybe your venue has another location that could be enhanced?

Once you have chosen your venue, it is worth another visit to get some repurposing ideas brewing (amongst all your other wedding jobs, I know there are many). Invite your florist along to discuss your ideas if your designs are more ambitious and they are not familiar with the venue. Do not forget to think about where the photo opportunities will be. These are likely to be the areas where you can make the most of what you already have.
Centrepieces can take a large chunk out of your wedding flower budget. With a suitable centrepiece style, you might be able to use them down the aisle for your ceremony beforehand, often at no additional cost.

Many of us love a flowery ceremony focal to say our vows. Your friends and family can have good fun in front of them to, striking a pose as part of the photo booth, towards the end of the day!

You could find other opportunities to repurpose differently to the norm, adapted to suit the layout and vibe of your venue.
Research social media and websites to find your inspiration. See what other couples have previously done at your chosen venue.

Let your florist and venue staff know your plans at every step of the way, to avoid any unexpected surprises. Venue staff are often on hand to assist with a change around. Quite often, the groomsmen are nominated to assist to! However if the change around is more complex, then your florist can often provide this service.
For a wedding during 2023, I have perhaps the most clever repurposed set up yet. The Flower arch flowers will become a top table display after the ceremony. I am really looking forward to this one! There are so many ideas, some which will not have been thought of yet. I am more than happy to find ways to make the seemingly impossible happen, keep the new ideas coming in! If you want suggestions, let your florist know.
